A rather reasonable friend of mine, who has kids but I wouldn’t consider a “breeder,” mentioned something about the website “MomsRising” to me recently. I’ve heard mention of it a couple of times before, but never checked it out, for fear it was one of those breederiffic mommy-feel-good websites. But when this reasonable friend mentioned it, I thought I might check it out. Contrary to popular belief, I don’t hate everything parent/kid related, and I actually clicked the link thinking I’d find something to rave about.

That was a mistake. It is a (cheezy and possibly ineffective) political lobbying site for breederiffic parents who want “special” rights, not equal rights.

The first thing you see on the main page says:

Tell your favorite Mom she’s a mother of the year! Your favorite mom deserves national recognition! Get her on the national news, thanked by President Obama, and envied by Angelina Jolie.

Are you kidding me? The first thing they want mommies to see on the site is, “You deserve a national award!” You can’t tell me they don’t have self-esteem issues if the big mommy sites primary reason for existence is to promote that shit. As if our government doesn’t have better things to do than to make some bimbo appease her self-esteem issues.

Also on the front page:

See that? Healtcare reform for FAMILIES. Fuck everyone else. Further in you’ll see they wan flexible work arrangements for PARENTS – no one else. Say what you will about childfree, but when we talk about reforms, we talk about making things fair for everyone, while parenting sites talk about making things “fair” for THEMSELVES only. Remind me which group is the selfish one again?

Wait a god-damned minute! They already have television rating systems that “allow for choice in the home.” Every show comes on with a freakin’ rating! Also, the TVs, the cable boxes, and the DVR boxes ALL have parental controls on them. And remember folks, they do not even have to have TVs in the home, or they can have a TV in a locked room or cabinet to keep the kids away from them. JFC what the hell more do these damn entitlement-minded mommies want? Little brown slaves living in the home to monitor the kids and the TV for them?! How can these morons STILL be complaining about this issue?!!

This also drives me crazy, as there are tons of activities for youth – parents just invent 500 excuses why not to use them. Every community I’ve lived in has had multiple forms of youth centers and activities, even the small town I used to live in. There were at least 3 community youth centers I can think of, but half the time they were empty because no one would make use of them. Who’s fault is that? While I can’t speak for every single community, I’d guess that most communities have these activities. The moms just won’t make use of them so they have no right to bitch about it.

And of course they are mooing about “Paycheck Fairness Act” which basically translates to:

I want to get paid as much as everyone else in the workplace, probably more, because I have kids to support. I deserve a paid year off every other year to have a baby and bond with it, and I want additional sick days from my non-parent coworkers since I need more sick days to take time off when my kids are sick, too. When I’m pregnant, I’ll need extra sick days for all my doctors appointments, as well. I want first pick of all vacation time off, because I have to work it around my kids’ school schedule and everyone else can just suck it. Also, I want a flexible work schedule so I can take off whenever it’s convenient for me and my kids. I never want to work late or weekends or holidays (gotta have family time!) – leave that to my childless coworkers – they don’t deserve the good work schedules! In fact, I should be able to work from home while playing with my kids. My family will always come first! AND I want promotions just as quickly as everyone else, even if I’m out of the office 60% more than the rest of them and don’t have nearly the experience since I’ve spent most of my career neglecting work in favor of being a mommy.

I’m SO sick of them complaining about getting paid less than other workers when they do less work. Yea, I know there are exceptions – women who are just as dedicated at work as the rest of us, but those are the ones who are likely making as much as the rest of us do. The ones who have a huge pay gap have probably earned that pay gap by doing half of the work when they are at work, taking more time off than anyone else, and never working overtime shifts – in other words, they deserve a fraction of the pay.

The bottom line is these women believe they deserve a paycheck for breeding and the company should just have extra funds lying around to give them money to stay home for a year while having to pay someone else to do their job. I’m not a fan of pure capitalism, but I have to side with the companies here. Why should they have to pay two people to do a job while one sits at home blogging about baby puke for a year? Or worse, why should the company pay someone to sit at home blogging about diaper blowouts while the rest of her coworkers are shafted having to take up her workload in addition to their own because the company can’t afford to pay two people for that job. And I don’t want to pay higher taxes so mommies can scam the system this way and make the government pay them to sit at home blogging! And then, this mommy thinks after coming back from her year’s vacation she should get the next promotion going around because she “deserves” it. How did she earn the promotion while sitting at home not working?!

(No, they didn’t actually say THAT, but that’s pretty much what they mean!)

Maybe I’d have more respect for mommies (and MomsRising) if they used ANY common sense, had ANY sense of fairness and dropped the entitlement “I want it so I should get it I’m a mom!” bullshit.

Like some of you, I read the so-called feminist blogs because sometimes they have some interesting and important information to share. But more often than not, they are full of bullshit mommyism mooing, much like my last post. That stuff is somewhat amusing, but also fairly aggravating when you think that in the grand scheme of things, THIS is the crap they are worried about.

Here are a couple more recent items the moos are getting nosebleeds over:

1) A couple of neo-nazis have named their kids offensive names, including “Adolph Hitler” and ran to the media to complain they were “discriminated against” when a store wouldn’t provide them a birthday cake with that name on it. (The store did offer them a blank cake, but the Nazis wouldn’t take it, since that wouldn’t get them as much media attention as their cries of discrimination.) Some of the mommyists are up in arms because NO CHILD SHOULD BE DENIED A BIRTHDAY CAKE!!!!111! Wait, so the argument is that businesses should have to do anything blatantly offensive to their customers and even employees as long as it’s about a kid? Seriously? Some unreasonable asshole can deny me my birth control (that might be medically necessary) because he thinks his bible says “Thou shalt not have birth control” (it doesn’t), but reasonable people can’t refuse to make a birthday cake that celebrates genocide? Are you kidding me? And so-called feminists are okay with this kind of double standard?

Meanwhile, the kid was not even denied a cake – Wal-Mart, staying classy as always, had no problem providing the neo-nazis with their Heil Hitler cake. The best part is that the neo-Nazi’s claim to be too disabled to work – their hero would have had them gassed for being useless! Idiots.

2) The mommists were also mooing over this: Some preggo whines that she was sexually harassed by her bosses for showing too much cleavage in the workplace. Her excuse that she has too much cleavage is that she’s pregnant and pregnant women can’t help having cleavage. Oh really? Once you get pregnant, your boobs just fall out of everything you wear, including turtlenecks? Give me a break! I doubt the bosses were harassing her for no reason because they had nothing better to do. Are you kidding me? People in the workplace dread having to deal with shit like this because the kind of gal that comes to work with her boobs hanging out is usually the one just HOPING someone will say something so she can scream “discrimination” and create a nightmare for the HR folks. Trust me, if at all possible, her employers would have liked to have said nothing. It had to have been pretty blatant for them to have to address the issue with her.

Never mind that there are REAL problems in the world that the mommyists (or anyone, for that matter) should be worried about. THIS is the kind of crap they get their panties in a twist over. Pretty fucking ridiculous!

Does having kids make you this oblivious to real world problems and start worrying about pathetic crap like this?! It would seem to be true. You better save your brain cells and stay childfree.

I found the following picture and text on my favorite mommyist site several weeks ago.

When I first saw these p*nties, I laughed out loud because there is some truth in it. It’s tacky, but it’s still funny. Then I saw that the mommyists (the very same ones who use their vaginas for profit) were upset that anyone dared point out the truth. EVEN FUNNIER.

Mommies DO use their v*ginas as profit. First they use them to get guys to spend money on them, then they use them to create babies which will provide them with welfare, WIC, foodstamps, child support, and who knows what all else. These are the same women who totally support any kind of legislation that will give mothers more money for just having kids they can’t support. They might as well be saying, “Make that v*gina work for you!” because that’s the message hey put out there!

How dare those women who DO use their v*ginas for profit pretend to be offended by this. If it weren’t for them, people wouldn’t have even thought up these p*nties in the first place!

A couple of days later, the Mommyists claimed victory — they harassed Wal-Mart enough to take the p*nties off the shelf. Heaven forbid guys catch on to their money-making scheme!

I still think the p*nties are funny.

Edit: Ever since I posted this, I get daily hits of people searching for “preteen p*nties” and “preteen v*gina” and the constant reminder of all the pedos out there creeps me out. So I have edited the words in this post to help cut down those creepy search terms. I don’t know if it will work, but it’s worth a try.

I lurk on some so-called feminist sites (which are really just “mommyist” sites), because they are amusing. Some of their stuff is justified, some of it is total over-reaction, and some is ridiculous mommyism crapola.

Earlier this week they were complaining about an ad campaign against teen pregnancy rates, where the ads feature pictures of teenaged boys with pregnant stomachs and the words, “It shouldn’t be any less disturbing when it’s a girl.” I was going to post the picture, but I knew a bunch of whiners would say, “OMG, you made me lose my lunch by posting that!!” But for those of you with stronger stomachs, click here to see one of the pictures. I actually found the picture amusing.

The mommies on the feminist site whined that this ad campaign was mean, making teen moms feel bad. (Perhaps someone should!) They were offended that the ad dared to point out that teen mothers are a burden to tax payers. The horrors of truth in advertising!!

But then, most amusingly, several of them made negative comments about the stomachs, insisting they looked completely unrealistic. All the negative comments fell into one of the following topics:

Isn’t that hysterical? I thought the stomachs on the boys looked fairly realistic. Are these women in denial about what their pregnant stomachs look like? The funniest part is that if anyone else were to make those same suggestions about female pregnant stomachs, they’d freak out and call that person “sick” or “twisted” or worse. They’d insist that pregnancy is beautiful, gorgeous and completely natural!!!1!

Oh, I get it. They only think pregnancy is beautiful, gorgeous and completely natural. if THEY are pregnant. Anyone else is gross, bloated, obese, etc.

Next time you see a preggo, have a little fun and make a joke about her beer belly. That should get her going. And if she whines, look innocent and say, “What? Women on the feminist site said that pregnant bellies look like beer bellies!” It’s not like you’ll be lying.

You won’t believe the breeder whining I found on some so-called feminist website last week! While I certainly wouldn’t dismiss any complaint just because it was made by a parent, this complaint was so ridiculous. Basically, this woman whines that people at the grocery store were rude to her because she’s on WIC and made her cry. She is now taking her story to the internet because Safeway wouldn’t give her a year of free groceries or whatever bullshit entitlement she’s demanding. *disgust*

Below I will quote part of her complaint. It was a little long and too wordy, so I cut out parts of it that were unnecessary to save you time. I prefer not to link back to the feminist blog in question (that would just be inviting trolls back here) but it wouldn’t matter anyway, as they’ve screwed up the HTML on their site now, so you can’t even see the whole original post anymore.

A customer named Deanna went into a Safeway somewhere in California, and this is her whine:

I had picked up my items and went to check out. I first noticed the bagger that just finished the person ahead of me and as soon as he saw me pull out my WIC checks, he left. I let it go until I approached the checker let him know that I had WIC. Keep in mind that because I know it is a longer process to go through, I make sure that all my items are in order and just try to do my best to speed up the process for you guys and the people in line behind me.

So the checker that was checking never greeted me and I stood there not knowing what he wanted, first the checks or the book to check the signature (which he never checked by the way)? He just stood there in silence, then I asked him what would you like first and he rudely responded by saying “I want to you sign those.” By that response I knew it was going to be a bad experience. So I signed every check and put them in order according to the items laid out.

He took the checks and just started the process and since the bagger had left when he saw me; my 4 year old daughter and I started bagging ourselves, and when every time he went to pass it down towards me it was almost like he was throwing the items because they sure made a thud sound coming towards me. Meanwhile this was all happening he still never said one word to me and never said good bye or have a nice day. When he ended he just went and started the next customer.

I still said thank you and I walked out crying that day. I have a witness to this due to the fact that my boyfriend was the customer right behind me purchasing groceries for himself, and when he finished and came out after me he told me that the checker greeted him very nicely and tried talking to him in a way of apologizing for me holding up the line. The checker didn’t know the man behind me was my boyfriend.

IF the story went down exactly as she claims, I might agree that the employees shouldn’t have been so rude. I could give you reasons as to why they might have been annoyed, but I won’t.

I could nitpick about how I think she’s probably exaggerating somewhat, especially that the employees fell over themselves being overly polite to her boyfriend (if he was even there) but I won’t.

I’d really love to point out how she changes her story halfway through, changing from him speaking rudely to her to him never speaking a word to her, but I won’t. (Oh wait, I guess I just did).

I’m tempted to make a case about how maybe there should be some social stigma about having children you can’t afford to feed, but I’ll save that for another time.

I WILL say that even if the whole story was true and the employees were this rude to her, it wasn’t worth bawling about it or creating a huge drama over. Seriously? Some guy hardly speaking to her and a bagger supposedly walking away makes her bawl?!

Someone has lived a sheltered life!

First of all, I spoke to two friends about this: one who had been a grocery cashier and one who had used WIC. Both agreed she should have signed the coupons before handing them to the cashier. This is WIC 101, I’m informed, and cashiers would be annoyed with anyone who handed them unsigned WIC checks! The checks are useless to him until they are signed!

Meanwhile, I don’t know about the rest of you, but at my grocery store, there isn’t one bagger per checkout counter. They are floaters and they bounce around to whichever lane is ready to be bagged. Sometimes the cashier bags up the groceries when they are done checking you out, if no bagger is available. The bagger walking away probably had more to do with the fact that her stuff wasn’t ready to be bagged yet, than him being rude and discriminatory against her. That is Common Sense 101.

This woman has a real Persecution Complex!

She is just playing martyr by pretending she was being forced to bag her own groceries. Even if the cashier really dislikes “welfare people,” I doubt he would have left her stuff there, unbagged, and just stared at her until she started bagging them herself. No, if he had finished ringing her up, and still no bagger had shown up, I’m sure he’d have bagged her up just to get her to fucking LEAVE so she could go find someone else to accuse of harassment.

Not that it would kill her if they did force her to (make her work for her free food! *snicker*). But she did NOT have to. Plenty of times I’ve bagged my own if it seemed like they were busy, not because I’m a martyr or impatient, but because I’m not too damn lazy to bag my own damn groceries! And I certainly never started bawling over it.

The woman just isn’t going to get any sympathy from me. What she is whining about is petty. Grow up and get a thicker skin. And maybe next time she’ll know to sign those checks before she hands them to the cashier.
