Kids For Sale

Here is some mandatory reading for anyone considering having kids! I know he thinks this is funny, but the fact that most of it is true kinda makes it scary: Kids For Sale

Update: And now he’s upset because us evil childfree people are talking about him and don’t we know that parenting is hard?! (But in his next breath he is sure to smugly inform us that it’s harder than anything we’ll ever do. Yea, that old tune again.) He’s in such a snit, you’d think we’d said his kids were ugly!

I bet his next trick will be claiming he’s not at all insecure.

Extra Update: Do not go over there and pick a fight. Just leave it alone. They have a lot more free time on their hands than we do for internet dramaz.

   I went over to this Duddhie board and my, my, my the condescension was so thick that you could cut it with a very sharp knife. I don\’t go to those boards too often but wanted to check it out and was duly nauseated. I noticed tat some CF people posted some thoughts, myself included, but of course it will go way over their little broodmare and stallion minds.

   I made a few posts over there, too. Lots of bingoes and other stupid posts by the childed but thankfully some good posts by our fellow CFers.

   I love the part about him betting his testicles. Quit trying to trick us into giving you that much needed vasectomy, Duhd.

   Peggy, he would have lost one or both of his testicles had he made that bet with me.

   To refresh, this is what he wrote:

   *Since you don’t have children, let me ask you a question: have you ever complained about, say, your job? I’m willing to bet one of my testicles that you have … and I’m willing to bet the other of my testicles that you didn’t quit your job and say to yourself, “I’m never going to have another job,” or kept your job and said to yourself, “I can’t complain about my job because I made my bed and now I must lie in it and stop whining.”*

   [background: I retired last year at the age of 45 because I simply got sick of my job and the commute and had to do something bg about it.]

   In an earlier post of mine in the aforementioned blog entry, I included this:

   *Having kids, unlike a job or a car or a house, is an irreversible lifestyle choice. If you don’t like one of those things, you can give it up and get a different one. (Or, with me and my job, I can simply retire. You would lose that testicle you wanted to bet!)*

   That’s amusing. He must not be too bright or have ever met any other parents. Has he never heard of Stay-at-home-moms, the women who got knocked up just so they could get out of working? Dumbass.
